Monthly Spend Tiers
Monthly spend tiers are applied progressively during each calendar month. This means an order can be priced across one or more spend tiers. If part of an order falls in one monthly spend tier and the rest falls in a higher tier, each part is priced using the discount for the tier it falls into.
Spend-tier discounts are configured by model family. Models in the same family share the same percentage discount curve by spend band. Each model still has its own base package rate, so absolute EUR/km2 prices can differ even when discount percentages are identical.
Each model has a base package rate. Required input satellites are included in that package rate. Optional input satellites are added only when selected. Stratus-3 currently uses the same base package rates as Stratus-2. Spend-tier discounts apply to:
model package base rate + selected optional input add-on rates
To make planning easier, the table below shows the resulting absolute EUR/km2 rates for model packages without optional add-ons selected.
| Monthly spend range | Stratus-2 | Stratus-3 | Stratus-2 Fast | Nimbus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| €0.00 – €1,000.00 | €0.20/km² | €0.20/km² | €0.18/km² | €0.10/km² |
| €1,000.00 – €3,000.00 | €0.07/km² | €0.07/km² | €0.063/km² | €0.075/km² |
| €3,000.00 – €12,000.00 | €0.04/km² | €0.04/km² | €0.036/km² | €0.05/km² |
| €12,000.00 – €50,000.00 | €0.03/km² | €0.03/km² | €0.027/km² | €0.03/km² |
| €50,000.00 – ∞ | €0.02/km² | €0.02/km² | €0.018/km² | €0.02/km² |

Stratus-2, Stratus-3, and Stratus-2 Fast share the same percentage discount curve. Stratus-3 currently has the same base package rates as Stratus-2.
Pricing Structure
For each priced part of an order:
Tier-adjusted EUR/km2 = (model package base rate + selected optional input add-on rates) x spend-tier multiplier
Priced part = area portion x dates x ordering multiplier x tier-adjusted EUR/km2
The total order price is the sum of all priced parts:
Order price = priced part 1 + priced part 2 + ...
Most orders fall within a single spend tier. Larger orders may cross one or more tier thresholds and are then split across the relevant tiers.
For ordering multipliers, see Tile and minitile discounts.
Input Composition Rules
- Required input satellites are included in the model package base rate.
- Required inputs are not configured as separate line items.
- Optional input satellites are add-ons, priced only when selected.
- Current optional add-on list rates are documented in Model pricing.
How Spend Tier Is Determined
Your monthly spend tier position is based on accumulated paid order spend in the current calendar month.
Paid spend includes:
- Model package costs
- Selected optional input add-on costs
- Ordering mode multiplier effects, such as polygon, tile, or minitile ordering
- Other paid line items, where applicable
As an order is priced, it consumes the remaining spend capacity in the current tier first. If the order crosses into the next tier, the remaining part of the order is priced using the next tier's discount. In large orders, this can continue across multiple tiers.
Cancellation and Tier Repricing
If an order is fully canceled while still in Review, monthly accumulated paid spend can decrease. That can affect effective tier pricing for other orders in the same month.
Example:
- You place Order A, then place Order B in the same calendar month.
- Order B is priced with a higher-tier discount because accumulated spend includes Order A.
- If Order A is fully canceled while still in Review, accumulated spend drops and Order B pricing can be affected.
For lifecycle cancellation rules, see Cancel or modify recurring orders.
Example: Order Crossing a Tier Boundary
If your accumulated monthly paid spend is 900 EUR and your next order is large enough to pass the 1,000 EUR threshold:
- The first part of the order is priced in the
0 to <1,000 EURtier. - Once accumulated paid spend reaches
1,000 EUR, the next part of the order is priced in the1,000 to <3,000 EURtier. - If the same order also passes
3,000 EUR, the remaining part continues in the3,000 to <12,000 EURtier.
This means large orders can receive multiple spend-tier discounts within the same order.
Application Order
- Build the base
EUR/km2rate: model package base rate + selected optional input add-ons. - Calculate billable usage: area x dates x ordering multiplier.
- Price billable usage progressively across the monthly spend bands.
- Apply each model-family discount only to the part of the order that falls within that spend band.
- Sum all priced parts to calculate the total order price.
- Add the final paid order value to accumulated monthly spend.
