Processing Units and Storage Expiry

Two Separate Controls

  • Processing units: consumed for download requests.
  • Storage duration: determines how long produced imagery remains downloadable.

If storage expires, data may become unavailable even when processing units remain.

Credit Types

  • Order credits (EUR): used to create orders.
  • Processing units: used for downloads.

Storage Expiry Rule

By default, data produced in a month is retained through the end of the following calendar month.

This applies to both historical and recurring orders:

  • Historical: produced data expires on that same rolling rule.
  • Recurring: each month, older data expires on the same rule while new data continues to be produced.

Credits and storage are distinct timelines. Plan long-running workflows accordingly.
