Monthly Spend Tiers
ClearSKY uses monthly EUR spend tiers to set your €/km² rates. As your total account spend grows within a calendar month, your per-km² prices get cheaper. Tiers apply to all orders on the account and reset on the first day of the next month.
- The table below shows absolute €/km² for each model at each spend tier.
- Tiles and minitiles apply simple factors to the model rate (tiles pay 20% of polygon price, minitiles pay 50%).
- Optional satellite inputs are billed as published add-ons per km².
- All required satellite inputs are included in the model base rate.

How pricing is applied (order of operations)
- Choose a model (for example, Nimbus).
- Determine your current monthly spend tier.
- Take the €/km² from the tier table for your model.
- Add any optional satellite input rates per km².
- Apply the tile or minitile factor if you are not using polygons.
Calendar months and updates
- Tiers are computed on the current calendar month.
- The dashboard shows your live projected tier based on orders created in the month.
- On the first day of the next month your tier resets.
Notes about subscriptions
Subscriptions control support and features. Subscriptions do not change tier prices. You can purchase subscriptions using order credits (EUR). See Subscription & Billing for details. A paid subscription is not needed to order data, but check request limits to make sure it fits your needs.
Legacy notice: Usage Units
We previously described discounts using Usage Units. ClearSKY now uses EUR monthly spend tiers instead. If you see older references to UUs in external material, treat them as historical context only.
